Keeping off the motorway is actually a good thing, it opens the path to adventure, rather than a boring high speed link between two points. Travelling across North America using secondary roads, was way more interesting than the interstate system, you get to meet the real people, as opposed to those who have no interest in life itself.

Same rule in India for bikes since bikes in our countries are not meant to go high speeds only expressway in India which allows powerful bike(above400cc)(this expressway would directly take u from delhi to agra-Taj Mahal city) where lot of riders have lost their live since they ride at almost 200kmph.But still indian highways are also quite good would cause a time difference between expressway and highway is around 0.5-1 hour

Ehy mark. Loved to see your videos . A second person whom i can give salute and great Respect for work you do. Keeping it going with an EV is a the next most unbelievable thing. The thing in Pakistan not to allow bikes is solely for own safety but putting the effeciency of time in another plate . There sholub be exemption atleast like many countries they can make a designated bike lane. My point of significance here is motorways are more safer in any sort. The bikers association in Pakistan are continuously trying to amend the rule like adding a clause but let see in future may be we get some relaxation on the rule

There's hot water in every house in Pakistan, but certainly not in hotels, especially the cheap ones. You can find hot water and every other facility in expensive hotels everywhere, but they're too expensive.

Hi Marc! Regarding your fans. I got the recommendation from Zero to use an air blower (compressor) in the fan area to remove the little rocks that may be preventing them to spin. They are not broken, just blocked by dirt or tiny rocks. If you happen to find an air compressor, just apply the high pressure air close to the fans. Hope that helps! It won't be a problem when charging slow though, only you may notice a decrease in the charging speed when you try to charge full power. As the chargers get warmer, they will reduce the speed to not overheat. Ride safe!

Glad you got to your accommodation safely! Given the way a lot of the motorbikes over there don't even have registration plates and likely aren't in a good condition like Eve is, is probably why they're not allowed on motorways. Would be interesting to know if that's always been the case or if something horrific happened which caused the rule to be implemented. In any case, hope all goes well with the visa and you get Eve cleaned up too! 😅

You do have a point, Eve is a really nice motorbike but you imagen one of those small engine bikes put together the Pakistan way with a family of 5 on top with no helmets “of course”and two pigs attach to each side of it on the motorway. Motorcycles are not allowed because most of the bike riders don’t follow rules they don’t follow lanes on motorways and the domestic common use motor bikes have small engines. They can’t go with the flow on motorways and creates problems. On the other hand heavy bikes or sports bikes are also not allowed because they just find only motorways to ride bikes with fast speed . On any other roads they can’t speed . They are considered dangerous for other vehicles . i own 600cc sports bike but i never got a chance to ride it on motorways.

The Motorways( we call it Express ways) rules are same they just allow bike over 400CC. Roads are but better but same, Traffic is same. The only difference is that you can drive or ride anywhere at night, you don't need sequrity escorts. So if we want to cover long distance we drive or ride at night, less traffic and we cover it in short time. I mean we just drove 1700 km(1100 miles) in just 20 hours(slept in between too).

Itchy boots had the same problem, but after she convinved the policeman that she had a power bike, she was allowed to go. The problem may be with light motorcycles, more mopeds of 50 cc that can do 70 km/h maximum. Next time tell them that it is a power bike, that can do 140 at ease.

The cop literally specified that "heavy" bikes aren't allowed. He can't go specifically because he has a fast bike. Idk why. Probably because they don't have traffic laws, speed cameras, or police monitoring speed. So sport bike riders would probably ride too fast and dangerous. And so it's easier to just ban them from the motorway entirely. Just my guess

Marc, follow the rules of the land without being a judge. I have traveled to more than 25 countries and lived in five countries as part of my work. My list includes nations from Africa, Asia, and North America. The number one rule for a traveler is to learn about the land before you go so that you understand why a society is the way it is. If you were looking for women, travel to non-Islamic nations! Sadly, women are treated as property in Islamic nations. I believe in respect for others' way of life even if it fails to make sense. I am glad you found the people friendly and willing to help. In Germany, I have not seen such friendly people willing to help as in some Asian countries I have been to. They are much more humble too!

I think people in Pakistan have 70 and 125 cc bikes. That's why they ban motorbikes but heavy bikes should be allowed on motorway. That's dumb and illogical.

@@MarcTravels in south Asia bikes are strictly prohibited on expressways. Even India your not allowed to drive bike on expressways without a permit. In Pakistan there are national highways for the bikes so stop crying

I'm curious what your average speed is when you have to go through these villages, looks like you rarely go over 60kph. Makes me think I can ride my Sur Ron from Turkey to Thailand, just carry an extra battery. When I was in Qatar with my Sur Ron everyone drove over 90kph making it feel deadly if I ever got on the road. Made more sense to stay on the sidewalk when there was one.

Its fog + dust. Smoke also in urban areas. In summers it wud be just dust. Dust levels r lower in winter due to dew but u have fog to compensate 😂
