Ok I agree and how can this tone be achieved its so quick in attack and soft...I have that yamaha bop kit with an 18" kick...I'm tuning high with gaff tape even and there is just so much resonance. Not to mention the bass drum...it looks big and it sounds so quick and tuned up...

You are welcome to believe that drums as an instrument have frozen where they are stylistically, I happen to think there is room for advancement. Have fun being angry for no reason. P.S. @@sticktrik each guy you’ve mentioned is completely different from each other. That list includes Marcus. They’re all at the fore front of jazz drumming pushing it further and further along. Marcus is exciting because he’s younger than all the other guys you mentioned. He’s still growing.
