Marcus Mariota Oregon Highlights - "The New Titan" - (HD)

The Tennessee Titans had 10 minutes to choose a new player, and possibly a new future. They had the 2nd pick of the NFL Draft. Jameis Winston had been taken by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Tennessee had their eye on another player. He is an athletic and skilled opponent from the University of Oregon. His name is Marcus Mariota, previous college football Heisman winner. The Tennessee Titans had a rough season and lack of quarterbacks last season. They finished with a 2-14 record. 2 minutes to pick. The Titans make their decision. Intensity is rising. Then the crowd hears this, "For the second selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans pick.....MARCUS MARIOTA!" Tennessee Titans fans jump for joy, and so does Marcus Mariota and his family. Philadelphia Eagles fans hang their heads down in sadness. Welcome to the Tennessee Titans Marcus Mariota!

Titans fans will love Marcus. He's big, strong, very fast and throws a beautiful ball. And he doesn't just run by people. He breaks tackles and easily jukes defenders like a smaller player. He is completely unflappable and never panics. No player in his draft class is as calm under pressure as Marcus. Tennessee got a good player and better person. Marcus will never get arrested, fail a drug test, be the target of an "inquiry" or subject of a lawsuit. All the guy will do is show up every day and work his ass off and do it with a smile. The Titans scored, big time.

+PbnJ Miner well if they get a oline coach that's decent and teaches the young men upfront and gets a good dline to drill them on and a good dline to pass rush and run stuff they'll be good, all they'll need is another wr that's like DGB either big or small doesn't matter and put wright at slot. with Murray the backfield terrifying to other teams and the defence is top 15 so they'll be fine.

it is not Mariota's fault that Oregon lost to Ohio State, his defense couldn't get a stop, his receivers were dropping passes and a qb out of no-ware decided to be Cam Newton that game, not saying he didn't make mistakes, just saying that people need to stop saying that Marcus is a bad qb man. and it would help if Tennessee didn't lose whatever good talent they had over the off season.

true very true. i just took a shot in the dark with that guessing that you played mindcraft. good for you for picking chess over mindcraft. can't go wrong playing chess. and yes money can change a person but i think Marcus has the maturity to raise above that and not let it go to his head. that is what made Marcus so special as a Quarterback for Oregon. he showed poise and maturity and i think he will do the same playing for the titans. he will make mistakes but i think he has what it takes to overcome those mistakes and be a damn good Quarterback. we could be seeing another Payton Manning in the making.

I'm a Bucs fan and am definitely glad we took Winston, but I think Mariota's got potential to do well if he's used right. I do feel like the Titans are starting him too soon though

I think it might have served him well to sit behind Glennon for a bit, but Winston already had a lot of experience in a similar offense at Florida State.

He's better than Glennon but it's hypocritical to say that titans shouldn't have started mariota but it's right to start winston. Mariota was there qb the moment they drafted him. There qb before him (zach) wasn't good and isn't good he made poor decisions, threw inaccurately, etc. they needed a qb that's young, and can throw. They got more which mariota. He can run, throw, catch, he's smart and all he needs is a line that's trained decently because there a young oline and a 3rd wr.

Yea Marcus has phenomenal stats but remember he played in a college offense compared to Jameis who ran a pro style offense. I love Marcus, but Jameis is a better Quarterback as of NOW.

Actually Jameis Winston is scared like you can see in his highlights that he rushes to throw the ball and in the NFL they will eat him alive for that nd marcus is someone is calm and thinks marcus can run out of trouble nd so can Jameis but marcus had the most rushing qb yards last season and will as you can see oregon spanked Florida state in the rose bowl but ig we can't really say anything tell there rookie season starts in the nfl

He's gonna be a draft bust. Lets all be honest here. Sure, he was healthy for most of his seasons at Oregon. But he doesn't fit in with the Titans offensive scheme. Plus with the transtition into the proffessional league he will not have very many chance to scramble outside of the pocket as we commonly saw in his highlights before defensive linemen and/or OLB's get him. He's just gonna be another Manziel.
