Marcus Rashford has spoken outside Windsor Castle shortly after receiving an MBE from Prince William for his work calling on the government to provide free meals to vulnerable young people during the coronavirus pandemic. Rashford stuck by his message as he spoke to reporters.

He used his fame to speak up about kids needing food, etc. Of course there are people who are protesting the same thing as him but their word doesn't get noticed much. But because rashford is famous he brought this situation to light and spoke up for the people who are not being heard and in the end this lead to a change. It has nothing to do with his race, more so that hes a good human being. A lot of other footballers could have spoken up about what rashford talked about yet they didnt.

Because he is famous he reached out to more people and this in turn lead to more voluntary work from other people. The influence he has had on people and the change he has made is what got him the recognition, a lot of famous people have done charitable work but most of the time they are helping a select group of people. Rashford has helped the whole of the UK with his actions. You can search up how much he managed to raise for charity, theres no reason why he should not deserve a medal for what hes done.

As a Scandinavian who believe that we are all born equal, it is totally beyond my comprehension that the English/British can accept that going to football matches and spend your hard earned wages on overpaid players (100 - 500.000 £ pr week) a foreign managers and 20-15 foreign players and American, Russian and Arab Oil rich owners - what has happened to English fair game and sportsmanship ?? This combined with the Royal family with one member cheated on his beautifully charming young wife - the second one accused of sex with an underage girl and Mountbatten when the wrappings now come off not particularly wonderful ???????
