Hello! It’s been a long while since I last posted, but for good reason: Reprise EP has been one of the most detailed projects I’ve ever made. The original tracks shaped who I am as a composer today, and so I wanted to recreate them as carefully as possible whilst bringing a fresh palette of sounds and orchestration to the early, straightforward scores that 15-year-old Marcus wrote. We’ve recorded soloists from all over the country to take part in these reworks as well as collaborating with vocalists from Australia and the U.S., so I hope you’ll find joy in having these old tracks, quite literally, breathed life into. I want to be clear about what’s happening with the old versions. I’m hoping these reworks are better than the originals but I’m concerned that due to the popularity of the old videos, the new tracks will always be overshadowed by them in terms of what people see when they search the title. Therefore in order to avoid confusion I have decided to make the old video for each track unlisted, with a link to it in the description of the new version. So it’s NOT GONE, you’ll still be able to listen to it! It’ll keep things more organised on my channel and allows these new versions to grow. One of my favourite instrumentals ever, I've been listening to the original through my whole junior high school, then high school, now I'm studying at the university and I still have the song in my memory. YES. OKAY. THIS IS IT OMG. I listened to this downright *religiously* when I was younger oh my goodness. I had it saved to a tiny sony mp3 player and I would listen to it on car trips all the time imagining the kingdom gearing up for a battle against chrysalis, etc. I had forgotten the original composer and when this dropped in my recommended I nearly yelled. I'm a (very) novice tin whistle player now, partly due to the influence of this song, and to hear it re-envisioned is so amazing.
