I haven't driven new Mokka yet but I got inside about 1 week ago at Opel ASO in Wroclaw - just to check the interior. I must agree - there is much less space inside than I expected. In fact it's claustrophobic. Very good presentation and venomous commentaries (I love them) - as always on this channel. Thumb up Mr M. (and Mrs A.) !

By far the best looking small SUV! Even better looking than the over styled 2008. It will get its' sales figures despite the fact that the 2008 is better car in nearly every aspect.

I've driven the sister car peugeot 2008 with the same engine & gearbox. I can confirm this stalling issue there too but that is due to the start-stop system. once you deactivate it, the engine is just fine. Also, on the astonishing side is that the car averaged 5.8l/100 km when I got it and after driving it for a couple thousand of km on city, highway, b roads etc I managed an avg 4.9l/ 100 km (but with a very smooth and careful driving).

This is a real Opel again as we know it from the 80's - design wise. The visior reminds the old models like the Ascona. From me 👍.

I don’t like it :( Something is disjointed between how it looks on the outside vs the inside. Not the same car, but a similar design language is represented on the bmw i3 and I love that car

I have just test drive the manual and 8 speed Ultimate models. These were both December 2022 cars. Neither had the stalling sensation and the steering was quite good. This is un comparison with the 'alive ' steering of my Fiesta ST and very quick steering of my Cupra Ateca. So I ordered one.

Six months ago I bought an "Opel Mokka Ultimate" and I am very pleased with it. I'm 63 years old. To date, I have had countless cars: BMW 318i, Alfa Romeo 156, Opel Corsa GSI, Fiat Barchetta, Volvo S40 2.0 D etc. I made hundreds of thousands of km. in Europe. Therefore, I have the opportunity to compare. I am very pleased to have preferred Mokka. It is very stylish. It has an easy and enjoyable driving. Very responsive car. The interior and exterior design is excellent. Engine-gearbox harmony and safety equipments are great. I recommend it to those who do not have children, though.

Looks good. Would sell pretty well in Canada. I think Opel's approach to minimalism is well done. Physical HVAC controls and the infotainment isn't a tablet stuck to the dash. Does Opel still have access to the GM parts bin?

Great review Marek, the new Opel Mokka seems very promising! I also reviewed the Opel Mokka E (electric version) in my channel and I was a bit shocked by how less equipment you get for a starting price of 35k euros. The petrol versions are nice! But the electric version seems too expensive and under equipped. Otherwise I'm very impressed with the design, front reminds me of the Opel Manta

It's a nice car, but man it's so small. I bumped my head many times, was not able to fit my legs through the doors :-D + petrol automatic was quite noisy and there was quite a lot of vibrations for my taste. I am so glad was able to sway my parent to 4x4 SCross which is more of "an old school box the on wheels" but much more practical and the fuel consumptions is surprisingly a tiny bit better.

Anyone can build a car, but the sense of attention to detail is somehow never with the French... That terrible rear door aside, if you look carefully, the font on the 12V socket and the Sport mode selector is the PSA font, while that on the AC controls is the "old Opel" (GM) font. Sigh. And they had Crossland and Grandland to fix this, so what's the excuse?

FYI, at 11:00 - as I own one myself - the radio's volume is probably preset in the auto mode. This is done through a relative option in the touch screen. If activated, the volume is auto-adjusted according to the vehicle's speed, which in turn results occasionally in a noisy cabin, most likely because of increased REVs and aerodynamic sounds. I find this feature silly, if not pesky, so I just never make use of it. Moreover, the Mokka itself is very well insulated - and therefore quiet - so the particular setting is rather useless. Regardless, this is an excellent and right-to-the-point review of the car, which I think is very helpful to potential buyers! Personally, I'm happy with the purchase, it's a high-quality robust, and well-built urban SUV. Well, with a respectively higher price tag and some minor cons imho. Thumbs up and greetings from Greece :)
@MarekDrives3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I don't think we're talking about the same thing. In my case sometimes the radio would just start blasting loud music as I turned the car on, even though I wasn't listening to the radio before turning the car off. It seemed random, and it had nothing to do with volume adapting to car speed, because the car wasn't moving yet. Probably a bug they will eliminate with a software update.

I would never buy a Sellantis built car. Peugeot/ Citroen/ Vauxhall/ Opel all use the 3 cylinder pure-tech engine. This engine like the Ford ecoboost engine uses a stupid cambelt in oil arrangement. These cambelts can prematurely break. Both the puretech and ecoboost engine can suffer from other problems too such as overheating, ECU's and ignition problems. If it was my own hard earned cash, I would buy a Suzuki Vitara 4 cylinder chain driven 1.4 boosterjet. The interior may not be as classy as the 2008, but Suzuki's are a lot more dependable.

This car and similar shaped are soooo senseless in my opinion. Outside not really small but inside really small. Just for old couples who have no grandchildren and no hobbies. But when I see how you had to deal with your foot when climbing on the driver seat: also not really great for elderlies.
