I hate to critique anything this sublime. But in the opening verse, Kailua is supposed to rhyme with 'you-a'. Just like in the other opening verse (Hart wrote two!) 'data' rhymes with 'that-a'. The American pronounciation, at least some of the time. (Not on Star Trek). But the overall playful rueful feel of the song--just right. Love has its way with us, and doesn't care how we feel about it. Just so we feel something.
