We did the same cruise in May and loved the experience, as you did. The only downside was at Dalaman. The luggage conveyors failed and we had to wait in line for a good while until it was fixed. The entrance hall became stifling and the nearby reps didn’t have a clue. Other than that, no worries. We enjoyed it so much we’re on Explorer in December, going from Malaga to the Canaries. Thanks for the vlogs. I’ve really enjoyed watching them with my wife. They brought back many happy memories.

Absolutely amazing footage in your always fun and breezy style! I am now completelly convinced that I have to go somewhere, anywhere on Discovery. In the meantime, I just booked my very first TUI cruise - a North Rhine Christmas cruise for December 2025 on the TUI Isla - the whole fly/cruise deal from Gatwick. EXTREMELY easy for non-UK residents to book and the price was better than I could find with any other river cruise company, even considering the currency exchange. Can't wait to fly on TUI ! Thanks for all the inspiration on going with this company.

Loved every minute of this cruise...I've just come back from a trip to Amsterdam with my son and I was starting the unpacking and cleaning and my husband said "Are you going to have Jamie on?" I think I must watch you too often 🤣Marella looks fab and I think when we finally do a family cruise, that will be the one. The main thing for me is how friendly people are, and the staff look genuinely happy to be there. Rhodes looked stunning - would love to see you report from there on a land trip! Keep em' coming! x

This video was torture lol…me, my wife and daughter go on this same cruise on September 16th and the waiting is killing me 😂 We did a cruise last year on Marella Explorer 2 and it was brilliant. Excellent video Jamie…so natural and you show how much fun cruising is…stay safe sir 👍

Marella Cruises are fantastic their staff are so friendly and they do make you feel like royalty, when I finished my cruise with them was quite sad that it ended but saying that it could be the fact that I had to go back to work

This cruise looks fab. The only one of those ports I've been to is Rhodes & we absolutely loved it. We did Rhodes as a land holiday & stayed in Rhodes Town for 2 or 3 nights then went elsewhere & visited Lindos. Rhodes is definitely worth it for a land holiday. I would happily go back. Must give Marella a try at some point.

Great video as always!! we did a land based holiday with Jet2 to Rhodes and loved it very enjoyable island and would certainly want to go back myself!! We sailed Discovery in April in the Carribean and I did struggle a little with sea sickness but very much enjoyed the ship. Wasnt so keen on some of the people onboard whilst i totally get everyone can holiday different was a little too much a party! that said loved the food loads in the included restaurants in Kora La and Surf and Turf i just wish there was better veggie options that wasnt cauliflower !! All that said we chose Marella Voyager to say our vows and we do that in January 2025 which will be our second Marella Cruise

Hi, we were there the week after you for 2 weeks. First week was busy but the second it was crammed. We didn’t enjoy it as much as you did. It felt too much like Butlins at sea and too much noise and the entertainers were pretty annoying. Staff were amazing. Really impressive and friendly. Cabin was the same as yours, in 6086 and very clean. Good was okay, we enjoyed the Italian a few times but the pool was too small and such a shame there were in our view, too many just wanting to get pished and want constant noise. That is t is but if it is your thing then Marella wasn’t horrific.

Awesome finish to your Marella cruise on Discovery. I do have a question for you though Jamie. You mentioned that you were screened at security on arrival as well as departure, my question is what happens during a screening???? Ive never been picked before, but I am curious to what they check for, seeing as your checked luggage is already on the plane and your carry on has already went through the scanners. We visited Rhodes in April on Celebrity Infinity. HOHO bus is definitely not the way to see this port as wandering the lovely streets of Old Town can’t be done on a bus!

I would love to sail with Marella, but I live in the USA and they do not sell to Americans. I would have to book a cruise only fare and do an exchange rate from pounds sterling to US dollars. Then I would of course book airfare and hotels separately. So, it would not be a cheap holiday for me. 😪
