I don't do art journals, I do mixed media on canvas, so I was very happy to see this "How to break a blank canvas" video. I hope you will do videos on how you completed the other five canvases, especially the one with the ripped cardboard background and the one with the wood pieces background. Breaking a blank canvas is still the most difficult part for me when I try to start a new mixed media canvas. The background is so important but so very hard for me to do. But I must say that my favorite part of this video was when you took us upstairs with you and seeing precious little Hannah smiling and standing up in her crib. She is such a happy little baby and so beautiful. Thank you so much, sweet Marta. xoxoxo

Oh wow loved how this turned out just adding the plum and the black completely changed it.... And the flowers just finished it beautifully. I loved your breaking a blank page series it really helped me last year when I started out in mixed media.... Please finish these too. Great video. I love the final canvas, amazing colors! So glad you went with DARK flowers to punch up the contrast. I definitely would love to see you finish the lace canvas and the thickerers canvas, as well as the others. I love the break the blank page/canvas videos, but once base is complete I am stumped as to how to finish/decorate it. Thanks for posting this. I recently got some mini canvases from my local Dollar Tree. I used a bunch of different types of Halloween stickers and window clings to make a cute collage. It was fun.

mica powders are quite cheap and come in a range of colours. the interference ones are brilliant on dark backgrounds. they can easily be added to any paints or sprays to give the metallic look. lovely video marta xxx
