My mid heaven is in Capricorn, I have Saturn in the 12th house. So according to this video, points to working with mental health/addiction. Pretty crazy because I am a bartender and love it but really feel pulled to go back to school to study addiction. My dad died 2 months ago from alcoholism, my grandfather died at 46 from it as well, my brother is in rehab for drugs and alcohol, and I am currently 6 years sober from opiates. I have always thought addiction was very interesting especially having so many personal ties to it. Something to think about for sure.

For anyone wondering how to interpret this: 1. Find your midheaven, ie Sagittarius 2. Find the house it’s in, ie 10 3. Sag is ruled by Jupiter 4. Find what sign your Jupiter is in, ie Leo 5. Find what house your Jupiter is in, ie 6th house 6. Sixth house represents pets, health, etc. 7. So I guess work with pets, helping others, health, etc. Pls correct me if I’m wrong ❤

Here’s an example: My midheaven is in Virgo, on the tenth house (corporations, management, leadership). It’s ruler, Mercury (quick, analytical) is in Aries, in the 5th house (romance, creativity, children). I am a data analyst working in corporate healthcare by day but also a performing and visual artist at night. I hope this helps.

That’s all I want.) so moved stateside and became a certified Montessori “guide”, and using more of my observational skills and getting to focus more on social and emotional vs being involved in a teacher centered classroom was admittedly better, but at the end of my first year I became so incredibly burnt out with the disciplinarian side of things (my cancer sun in my 1H opposes both my sag Uranus and Saturn in my 7H) and working with other people, so I pivoted and starting my own dog walking and petsitting business, self employed, make my own hours, no getting up at the same time everyday (MC aqua 9H, Pisces 10H) and animals and nature are my soul food. Yet for years now, maybe 9 years at this point, I have NOT been able to let go of the idea of creating my own sanctuary. I feel like what I want to offer the world is a safe space, bc there are so few of those. I want to work with the earth (ceramics, Jupiter in Taurus 12h, and I’m a Saturn Ahtmakaraka, it’s at 29 degrees in my chart) and have my own land with my own woodfire and soda fire kilns one day, and have retreats, artists and non artists alike. But it seems so impossible and far away. I have no idea where to actually start. The fact that Saturn just exacted my MC and is still conjunct it, all that’s been on my mind is I KNOW I have to make a big change, or maybe a big change is coming. I KNOW I can’t stay here, I keep thinking that owning land and the community I’m meant to meet is overseas again. But that fear of never finding where I belong or what I’m suppose to do (the connect between saturn and fear and Aquarius and belonging is not lost on me) is just… as overwhelming as ever. Anyhow, I just wanted to reply bc I think the mention of “sanctuary” on one of these comments here spurred it. I feel like whenever I’ve asked my self about my life’s “WHY”… I’ve come to realize that I’ve always been meant to find sanctuary in myself for, instead of providing it for others first. But I would absolutely love to get the a point where in can have and share it, in the material.

in vedic astrology, usually our 8H (placidus) is our 9H vedic. so yep, there's connection between those two. i think, philosophically speaking, part of our death & rebirth (8H) is our 9H thing (higher level learning).

Hey miss Maren! I becamne fascinated last Summer with a mortician/funeral director and embalmer, and how that particular career or those like it in the death care industry, could be found in an astrology chart. In his case, his chart was replete with Taurus. He's young, and loaded, set for life at only 22 with 6 years experience having started at 16. Taurus MC, Venus conjunct the MC, all in the 10th house. This is certainly not the case for every mortician. Anyway, intriguing study! I have a Cancer MC, Aquarius Moon in the 4th House. I'm a musician, I've debated death care, an astrologer, and occultist, and mainly, a tarot card reader who has thrown around tattooing. MC in Leo, sun in Aries in the (WS) 6th house. My dream career would be of a poet and singer/songwriter (I also have POF in Virgo in the 11th, so 🤞). I find people sometimes forget the 6th house is Mercury ruled, detail-oriented and it can also signify spending hours staring at the page or typewriter in order to best polish your vocabulary, or perfect your creation. Not only health, costumer service or pets as many state... however, I can also hold some space for those areas because my “practical” career choices would be in Psychology/counseling, social work or teaching. Your career is where you're most publicly visible, just as the Sun is at noon. With visibility comes reputation. It helps to put it in context of the 4th house/10th house axis, 4th house is the nadir, where the Sun is at its lowest point (hidden) and it talks about your home and private life. So 4th house - what you do in private, 10th house - what you do in public. Home life vs. career.
