MARFA EKIMOVA TALKS THROUGH HER BIRMINGHAM 2022 SUCCESS AND LOOKS AHEAD TO PRAIS 2024

Marfa Ekimova saw a number of her biggest dreams come true in a year that culminated in recognition at SportsAid’s prestigious One-to-Watch Awards ceremony in London. The Welling rhythmic gymnast, 17, was crowned Commonwealth all-around champion in Birmingham this summer after bagging national-level triumphs earlier in the year.
And a breakout season for the Londoner saw her named on a 10-person nominee list for the charity’s One-to-Watch Award, back and bigger than ever after a three-year absence to celebrate Britain’s brightest sporting prospects, where she finished in third position.
