●● INTRODUCTION ●●
Mohammad Ali has over 30 years of experience in rural development in Pakistan and specializes in the design and implementation oversight of pro-poor programmer, community participation models and grassroots level institutional development. Currently he is the Specialist Social Mobilization with the Rural Support Programmer Network, Pakistan. He has a master degree in Development Finance from Birmingham University, UK (topped the class and awarded with Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Prize) and received training in social mobilization, institutional development, micro finance and financial management from various international and national institutions. He has produced and published several research works on community development and operational manuals and guidelines on social mobilization and community finance. He has also studied Arabic and Persian literature, Quran, Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence and Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence from a renowned religious school of Pakistan.
