As for making laundry easier to put away, I only buy black socks for the kids ( mom of 6 here😄) and I don't have to lose my sanity looking for the missing matching sock anymore!😄😘

Also works for the adults!! Me and my husband only own two types of socks: the white ones and the black ones 😂 We just chose a specific brand and model for each (in our case, we got ankle socks in white and no show socks in black), and it changed my life forever! Laundry day is a breeze 😌, and we never have to throw any away if the pair goes missing. Highly recommend!! 🙌🏻

Also, since we chose them so intentionally, we don’t have any of THOSE socks, the ones that we don’t really like and that just stay in the drawer waiting to be used when the good ones are dirty 😂

I love good quality books and small people so have a suggestion for easy book storage for little guys - use a basket! Place them in the basket facing out as it makes it easier for the boys to flip through to find the one they’re looking for without making a hot mess of all the others. It is easier for them to find a book and to put them back. Something about having them face out is also more appealing to kiddos. This tip worked like a charm in my first grade classroom many moons ago and in our home for my two boys.

Totally agree & was going to write the same! ❤ Hugs 😊 Also we keep a separate basket or bin for library books now & really seems to help with those 🙌

So happy to see your little ones unloading the dishwasher. My son now 36 was 3 when he was in charge of the silverware . I used a lower drawer so he was able to place silver directly from dishwasher to drawer. I also have 3 children. Crystal

Well done ...I do a speed clean....it works well...every morning while hubby is having his meds and his first brew...as i am his carer....I can clean around the two bathrooms....and make the bed...then I can wash and dress....before sorting out breakfast.......I usually do small jobs in the morning if no appointments ...and visa versa time wise....but it good to move anything not in it's place....and find it's proper home..your boys are adorable and helped well in the living room x😊

I started using Branch Basics because of your videos!! It’s been a game changer for me, especially the bathroom cleaner! I would get hives from using chemicals in my shower.

Mom of 3 boys ages 8, 6 and 2. Putting all my kids books up off the floor and on a shelf on the wall really helped keep them tidy. The older boys can reach them and take a few down at a time. :) Then put them back. Especially with toddlers who just rip and destroy. Haha 😆

I’ve recently reinvented how I tackle my laundry as a house of 6. I now have two 40L tubs in a cupboard. One for lights and whites and one for darks and brights. It’s been a game changer. Used to have four huge ikea bags on the bathroom floor top resort but was so depressing and never got on top of it. I do more laundry now as pretty much sorted and it’s tucked away out of sight. I don’t worry too much about mixing loads now (unless there’s something new). 🎉🎉🎉🎉

your boys are so cute! it was really fun to see them help you with the living room. I will keep your advice in mind as my little guy gets bigger--it's not always easy or efficient for them to help, but it's such a valuable life lesson! xoxo

When I want peace and inspiration, I go to you. Thank you for all your effort. I laughed at all the "pregnancy brain" moments. It can be so frustrating at times!! I just threw that vinegar, alcohol, and water together and am testing it out on my foyer area. Thanks! Been meaning to look up the concoction.

I like to use half a lemon in a bowl with water in the microwave for like 3-5 min, and the steam makes anything easy to wipe away and then I take that soft lemon rind and put that down the disposal!

Also using baking soda and vinegar together means they both cancel each other out, you need to use one or the other
@makeitvanilla6313 Жыл бұрын
Just a safety note - don’t mix vinegar and oxiclean in your laundry. Also, ice cubes clean the disposal and help to sharpen the blades.

I only latch the first and last hooks on my shower curtain. You can't tell from the outside and it makes it faster to take down, which means I wash my curtain more often. Also the rubber seal in your disposal should be removable to clean. It comes in 2nd for one of the nastiest things in my house.

I don't understand how so many still refuse to understand, that combining a base (baking soda) and acid (vinegar) eliminate each other. It might seem like it, but you only get water out of it. Baking soda can be used with soap as a scrub and vinegar for the hard stains.

I do wash our clothing maybe once every week. I save it all up untill i have a full tub and then i wash. I don't do mini washes. We also wear our clothes more than 1 day, if it aint stinky or dirty, then why wash it? It only gives me more useless work. (This goes for 40 degrees wash) the wash will be air dried on rack, not in the dryer. 60 degree washes (like dish towels, and cleaning towels, and bathroom towels is wash after each use or after a few uses. We often use the used towels to stand on after shower or bath time. I personally don't like wash softener, so towels will be in the dryer. My washing machine does auto dose, so it always uses a correct amounts of detergent. Thats how i stay on top of my laundry, and keep my ecological footprint minimal.
