Grant Ward is the character that I fell in love with only after we knew who he was. Many began to hate him, and of course he can not be forgiven for what he did. But he is a very deep and complex character and I like it. And yes, again a long video. The video that inspired me and thanks for the music! Zurik 23M - kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2axoK2mrqmHjs0

Same. Honestly, I hate him as a person after everything he did, but I LOVE him as a character. He was definitely one of the best, a big part of what first made the show great, and I do miss Brett Dalton.

So much range for just a single actor, and he only graduated from acting school a year before being casted in AoS. That's pretty awesome. Even the movies he did all have one constant in the reviews: "Solid acting held back by mediocre script." Here's hoping Brett makes it big sometime in the future.

Yeah agree. Brett's range is crazy. Definitely an underated actor who deserves more chances to shine as he did on agents of shield. I was more sad when he died than any of the good guys lol

I absolutely loved Ward. A really amazing, troubled character, torn apart from his past and between the double live he'd been living. An abusive family, then a manipulative person who taught Ward everything he knows and then being forced to betray the girl he loves and the team he's happy with, watching himself hurting the people he loves, believing that he owes Garrett everything. Under different circumstances he could've been the most absolutely amazing agent, fighting the good fight. You just have to empathize with this guy.

Grant Ward was a complex character, I still can't actually forgive him for what he did but I'm still thinking that the Team had the chance to save him, in season 2 when he say "I'm still part of your team" I feel so bad for him, makes me feel like he wanted to be part of a family, after what Christian and his parents did to him Grant found it in Garrett, when he died Ward just wanted to be part of the team again because he's just afraid to be alone. There was some good in him, but no one knew how to get it out. And is kind of funny that I think the Framework Ward was the real Ward, he's real essence, like u put in the video "who was Grant Ward without John Garrett" I loved how they show us who could be Ward if just the right person would be in his way. This is an amazing video sweetheart, I actually love all your AoS vids but this made me cry a little bit, it's amazing

Femxfire yes I believe when coulson rejected him and called him deluded and then shipped him away in the likes of his dreaded brother ward broke, felt betrayed by everyone except maybe skye who eventually shot him. There was no going back after they did that to him

@@raulbetancourt5795 It's quite logical from Ward's perspective. Because through all his betrayal he worked on keeping the (original) team alive. He used loopholes and interpreted orders in ways that gave them a fighting chance. And you can rightly say that this doesn't change a thing, how he murdered their friends, how he hurt them, how he broke their hearts. But in his mind he did everything possible to protect them without being directly disloyal to Garrett.

The team not being able to give him a second chance is what did him in. He had changed, he wanted to do what he needed to in order to gain their forgiveness. Their rejection shut him off from any potential redemption going forward, he wasn’t emotionally strong enough to continue down the right path without the support of those he was doing it for. Ward needed direction, and without it he reverted to what he knew, with a new need for vengeance.

Except different versions of Ward actually make sense, while different versions of Wells don't (and I don't even mean Thawne, who obviously wasn't Wells at all). The difference in how The Flash does AUs and AU versions of characters and how AoS does it is the difference between bad and good writing. On The Flash, AUs are like "let's throw in any random nonsense and make the AU versions of characters completely different for no reason, because it will be funny".

Hive was a pretty epic send off, and the framework gave the team the knowledge that he truly was a product of his environment. I wish Daisy never shot him in season two, but to say I don’t understand why she did, would just be dumb

Great video. The length didn't bother me. It's interesting how Ward started out as fairly boring and wooden only to end up as one of the show's most complex characters. I'm glad the Framework arc gave us an opportunity to witness a Ward who made the right choices after the trauma he suffered. I wished that version of Ward could have remained a part of the series.

He’s a complicated character, I can say, because it’s hard to understand him. But I really love him. The person that he had become was not good , I admit, killing people, deceiving the team, but at the same time he was able to keep at least a little of good in himself. He became a bad person because of Garett. It’s just because some things even if they are really visible and understandable can’t be seen and understood if they haven’t been told and listened. Maybe in framework the lady with red in her hair (don’t remember her name, sorry) told him those things, taught him the good, that’s why having a chance to become a good person he became one in framework. And this chance he didn’t have in real world, that’s why the good in him almost died and the bad became more.

I love grant ward. Without a doubt my favorite character. I was hoping he turn good again at some point, so he could stick around as part of the cast. I even liked him as a villain to be honest. I just wasnt ready to say goodbye to his character and was looking for excuses for him to stick around. Personally I dont think he was evil at all. He was looking for love and purpose in all the wrong places. In many ways, he wanted a father's approval. Hence garret and coulson who were both dad's to him on opposite sides of good and evil. A great physical analogy for the war raging within him. He was confused and lost within himself. A great actor. Hope to see brett dalton in more stuff.
