Well this one was the media cruise. So only invited media and guests. The inaugural cruise was double this capacity.

My daughter and son in law just returned from freeport bahamas on this cruise. First time ever going on a cruise. Someone went into their room and stole 300.00. They when my daughter was in the shower someone tried going in but glad her husband was in the room. They reported it but seemed they didn't care, she had me on video and I was appalled how they were treated, and will never see that 300 dollars. Never again will they go on this cruise ship!

Are they hiding charges until is too late and you’re at the port and that’s when they come up with this out of nowhere fees?

What fees are you talking about? There weren’t any extra charges. The $200 preauthorization hold is what they use to ensure you have funds to pay for whatever you might buy on the ship. Holds are standard with all cruise lines (but usually they are about $100 per cabin for other cruise lines)

Hello there! My family and I are raking a 5 day cruise on the islander July 30-aug 4th and we are wondering how we can stay in communication with our teenager who will probably find a friend and hang out with them.. Do we have to purchase the WiFi for this? Can we just use roaming and eat the charges? Can we make phone calls to them with or without the WiFi? Also the teen center. Is it good? Meaning safe and reliable for the teens? How does it compare to carnival freedoms teenager care? Thank you for your response.

@@jere3651 hey there! Honestly we struggled communicating with the kids without an app. We did have wifi and we set up a family messenger group. I’d recommend wifi. While out at sea you may not have service at all. The kids/teens clubs were ok but they do not compare to Carnival. Not many teens attended the clubs regularly so our teen only went twice. Hope you have a great cruise!

What’s the deal with that 200 dollars charge per cabin? Out of the now tons of videos about this cruise line and cruise ship…I haven’t heard no one mention this 200 dollars charge…you’re the only video saying this…why is that? It feels kinda weird

Why does it feel weird? Maybe the others aren’t as thorough as I am. Have they mentioned a hold at all? 🤷🏽‍♀️The preauthorization hold is $200 per cabin if you use a credit or debit card on file.

I noticed you have 2 teenage sons. Were you aware they allow 18 year olds to travel unaccompanied and also allow them to consume alcoholic beverages once the ship is beyond the 3 mile international limit. They actively market to college students...I was very disappointed when I heard this, I thought they were trying to get away from their booze cruise image, obviously not.
