Ideally if the list of songs and ragas are known before concert it should be announced ..Some who get thrill in guessing ragas may object but more novice rasikas get an opportunity to learn and appreciate the raga swaroopam , enhancing their enjoyment .. Pleasing music all the way. Excellent signing by Sri. Sikkil Gurucharan. Superb to say the least. Each compositions presented in this concert were sparkling gems. If the compositions in Thodi, Mukhari and Simhendra madhyam were sparkling the others that followed in Yaman kalyan, Hamir and kannada were equally soulful. Request to mention the names of Thambura artistes also as they play a vital role in such concerts. Very disturbed to note certain comments on the appearance of the singer. It would be prudent not to pass such personal remarks. It is unfortunate that such persons have negative mindset. Music itself is a devotion and not to judge merely by the vibhuti smeared in the forehead or not!!!!

Excellent presentation of Papanasam Sivan composition in Mukhari.... Only complaint: If you can pronounce "Sha"ranam correctly, you should be able to duplicate the sound in "Sha"bari malai. What happened?
