I remember reading on an article that the make up at this show (by Inge Grignard) was supposed to make a trompe l'oeil effect that could reference/imitate the characteristic shadow that covers half of the face when a big pamela hat is used on a sunny day.

That question you had about the use of tape instead of the absent podium. My instinct tells me that by podium they meant elevated runway. Since most people use the word podium, when they really mean a lectern. A podium is a structure that people stand on. Maybe it was translated from French or Flemish?

I have an idea actually about this black coloured part of face. As far as I understood the song “Yes travel” is about recovery with friends. So maybe I’m wrong, but look: widows wear a veil, so maybe it is a symbol of trauma, but the song reminds about recovery. And this strange lines on the floor are like not only a guide for models, but also a “friend” who helps with recovery.

I actually think there is a connection with the Jean Paul Gaultier show in 1986. The technicians following the models with a kind of umbrella reminds me of that one model being followed also by a guy with a kinda umbrella in JPG 1986 show haha. Of course this is just a theory ,but since Martin was a part of this JPG Show, he maybe took this as an inspiration.🤔
