Maria Ferra Dominguez | Triple V Me

Meet Maria Ferra Dominguez, a 19-year-old third-year student at San Diego City College. She's an inspiring individual with a passion for art, music, and languages, using these as her healthy coping mechanisms. Despite facing numerous hardships, including discrimination, family conservatism, and personal mental health challenges, Maria's determination led her to work in Mexico from a young age to save money for college. Her desire for a better life for herself and her brother keep her moving forward.
At the heart of our nonprofit organization is the Triple V Me Scholarship, which provides a platform for students to share their inspirational stories. We seek to highlight the experience of everyday students. Whether it's in academics, arts, community work, entrepreneurship, sports, or stories of resilience and triumph in the face of adversity, all students deserve to have their accomplishments recognized.
To lend a hand in the continued success of our student storytellers, we offer the top 20 students $3,000 in scholarship funds at our annual award ceremony. The deadline to apply is January 1st, so be sure to sign up at the link below!
