Much respect Mr. Studi. A brilliant actor and a credit to his people. His portrayal of Magua had me in tears when he explained what happened to his wife and family. I could see and hear the raw pain and emotion in that scene what a gifted man. He is also very handsome with or without hair. God Bless Mr. Studi.

Best actor ever. Nobody has ever been more believable in every role. Nobody! Wes Studi is a genius actor

How this amazingly talented actor didn't win an Oscar for his performance in 'Last of the Mohicans' is totally beyond me; one of the most believable actors I have ever seen in any film; utterly spellbinding. His characterisation of Magua stayed with me long after the film had ended, infact, it was so brilliant, it was frightening!, and by far, more superior than Danial Day Lewis's own input..

Being a native actor (hopefully worded correctly), he must have so much more added to his shoulders. Wonderful interview

One of the great actors for sure. Many cultures have brought back their indigenous languages. Ireland & scotland & probably Wales. Israel brought backHebrew modeled on Ireland. Hawaii has entire schools that are immersion and for the 1st time in 100 years, fluent Hawaiian is spoken widely. Thanks Maria and Wes.

Absolutely love him. He is one of the finest actor's of the his day. I am a 54 year old man, I do have indian blood in my family, though there are no available records to prove it. I would love to learn to speak in Cherokee. Where do I go and how do I get Mr Studi to teach me. Lol.

The Yup'ik Eskimo language had died in my family as we weren't allowed to learn it from our mom because dad forbid it: he didn't want us to be "confused". Now that we 3 boys are in our 40s, the desire to learn it disappeared decades ago as we got institutionalized in American culture. Sad. Life goes on as it is but a vapor ~ here for a little while and then vanishes away.

So sad. There's nothing to be confused about. Knowing your ancestral language only adds value to your life.
