Hey everyone - For a long time, I had been wanting to remaster my very favorite rendition of Chopin's second piano concerto with Maria João Pires and André Previn, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from 1992. The original audio sounded slightly muddy and I felt the muddiness cut into the music-making of both the soloist and ensemble, but I was unable to use proper tools to fix this. I recently discovered a very compelling plug-in that allowed me to bring forth a clearer audio that better captures both the soloist and ensemble, while keeping an appropriate amount of reverb that studio engineers had wanted to incorporate without cutting into the captured audio of instruments. I hope you enjoy this rendition of Chopin's second concerto as much as I do, especially the absolutely soulful Larghetto movement that Pires performed:
