Maria Khoreva and Kimin Kim - Sugarplum Fairy Variation and Coda - Nutcracker - Mariinsky Ballet

Russian dancer Maria Khoreva is a First Soloist with Mariinsky Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia. Here she performs the Sugarplum Fairy Variation and excerpts from the Nutcracker Pas de Deux along with YAGP alumnus and Mariinsky Ballet Principal Dancer Kimin Kim. The Nutcracker was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The annual YAGP Gala at Lincoln Center, Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow, features the biggest stars of the world’s leading dance companies, many of whom had their NYC debuts* at the YAGP Gala, alongside the rising ballerinas and male dancers of tomorrow.

She is one of my favorites, it's so nice to see her grow as a dancer, the first 20 seconds of a video I saw when she was still a student, I knew she was going to be incredibly successful, she's a sweet girl, too.
