if you look at any suicide though the family and friends always say that they don't know why they committed suicide that there was no warning signs that the deceased had actually seemed happier than ever right before the suicide. Sometimes family even starts conspiracy theories saying the suicides were murderers even though there's no evidence of murder and all the evidence points towards suicide. This is such a well-documented phenomenon that any psychologist will tell you that people who are going to commit suicide don't tell you they're going to commit suicide because they don't want to be stopped and they seem happier than ever right before their suicides because they are saying goodbye to the world and they finally made a decision to end their own life. The VAST majority of the time suicide comes as a shock to the family and friends. So her family and friends saying that there was no way she would commit suicide really means nothing. The family and friends never know that a family member is about to commit suicide. If they did know wouldn't you think they'd force their family member to get help? What kind of family and friends knows a family member wants to kill themselves and does nothing to help them??? Not to mention the fact as it says further on the documentary Maria I just had a new baby and back then they didn't know what postpartum depression was. They didn't know how all-consuming and serious and dangerous it could be. From the outside looking in everyone's like she just had this new baby how could she possibly have killed herself when in reality it was very common back then for women to be incredibly depressed after the birth of a new baby and it is still common nowadays only now doctors and friends and family lookout for it so they get their loved one treatment. Just because she had had a new baby doesn't mean there's no possible way she committed suicide in fact, I would argue that makes it more likely that she did commit suicide.

You make really good points, not to mention that there’s such a stigma against suicide, especially in religious families.

I think many times the word "Beautiful" is used too casually. For me, beauty is rare. In my opinion, there is only one actress that has ever held such a title. Norma Jean Baker (Marilyn Monroe) was the epitome of beauty and radiated that inside and out. Also the singer Sade Adu in her prime was the epitome of a sensual, rare beauty, inside and out. Maria whatshername was a Hollywood dime a dozen pretty face who died of vanity. The end...
@marciballoons Жыл бұрын
Norma was not the epitome of beauty, since she had multiple cosmetic procedures. Beautiful inside? She broke many marriages and was named as the "other woman" in divorce suits. She was filthy, and slept on top of half eaten plates of food in bed.
