I don't think confidence is the issue with Giorgi (she plays a very confident, high-power game); she just needs to play a bit more defensively when she is out of position in the tennis court (loopy, but deep topspin shots, or slice backhands). That would allow her to get back into position, and continue imposing her offensive game more on opponents. At this level, even powerhouses like Serena know how to play defensively. If Camila adds that to her game, she can (very easily, IMHO) be a multi-Slam winner. Giorgi has talent like Agassi, but (unfortunately) also plays like a young Agassi (back when he had practically no defense to speak of).

I agree. I'm sorry but English is not my first language and I wasn't quite clear when I wrote she should be more confident. I think you made a right and accurate analysis of Giorgi's game. As you wrote she plays a high power game. The main problem with Giorgi is actually that she seems to be unable to change her game when necessary. She's very powerful, fast, good serve and volley and she seems to have all the skills to be a slam winner or to be ranked in top 10. On the other hand, she makes lots of double fouls and errors because she's always playing at the highest power she can but it's almost impossible to play an entire match that way. I think that the real problem is that she's not enough selfconfident as a person that is one of the reasons of her behaviour in and outside courts. She's very shy and introverted. She seems to have no friends in tennis and as each one can see she leaves quickly the court when each match ends. I noticed that she rarely smiles and sometimes she seems to play a bit mechanical without enjoyment and fun. Last year she and her father refused a convocation to play for Italy in Federation Cup and they broke with italian Federation that invested a lot to support Camila. Frankly, I think she should replace her father with another coach because it's the main Camila's problem but I fear that she'll never do it. It's a shame because she's very nice, I like her a lot, she's very gifted and as an italian I'm a great supporter of her. She' still enough young to achieve good results but I think she should learn to be more easygoing, free and independent. In any case Brava Camila!

La Sharapova sembra una gallina sgozzata ad ogni tiro. Devo dire che si apprezza molto da questo punto di vista la discrezione di Camila. Non mi capacito, ha forse il servizio più potente e un dritto profondo da paura, velocità di gambe da aliena e non si riesce a vincere. Dovrebbe essere nella top ten del circuito ad occhi chiusi e invece...che errore farsi allenare dal padre, uno che non ha mai giocato a tennis...
