I'm also here from the NYT piece-- I watched the other two performances and thought, oh my god, how on earth could you be better than these guys!? And then I watched this one and was like oh. OH. What an amazing performance! I've never listened to mariachi in my life, but this makes me want to start.

My hometown, and my high school. It's amazing to hear the talent and skill in this performance. Most people don't know how incredibly difficult it is to perform mariachi music. Great job!!!

Stunning performance by some truly talented young people. Brought tears to my eyes and gave me goosebumps! With all the gusto that the strings are played, it's a wonder that their bows have any strings left at all. Breathtaking!!
