OMG!!! i've beeen saying this for years!!! her voice is very delicate and the instruments always drowns her out esp when she is singing live! my dream concert is for her to do the entire thing in acapella.

YUP. The other one shouldn’t even exist. There’s no reason. It sounds unnatural and electronic for no good reason. It doesn’t match her style nor the vibe of the song. This does, however. I sought this version out because I realized the movie version is different than the single. And much better. I want this one!!!

@@sam_sands This isn’t the movie credit version, this is another release but not the movie version which I was a little obsessed with, watching the film three times. The movie credit version is actually very close to the official release that Mariah didn’t like, it just sounds less polished and has a less produced feel. It’s actually my favourite version. If you search ‘Almost Home Alternate Version’ it is second in the KZbin search results and should have the term ‘movie credits leak’ in the title. Again, I’m unsure what the story is behind this version. Maybe it has the production that Mariah wanted, a more RnB vibe. Maybe it’s a fan-edit, but if it is a fan-edit that doesn’t explain the different vocal ending.
