As a dedicated lamb, I no longer expect much from her in terms of live vocals. All I need is an album ❤ She needs to lower her songs now or change the set list. Her voice ain't doing it anymore for this type of high key songs. Hope she'll do something about the music arrangement. I'm fine with lipping the hard parts but she can't even properly sing the easy parts now. Don't come for me for saying this coz God knows how much of a lamb I am ✨

@@pietrofattorello In this state, definitely not. But if she's in a booth after a good rest then she can deliver great vocals for sure. Singing is much more tiring when you're in a live setting since there's too much adrenaline and tension. Imagine singing against loud speakers plus cheering crowd. But I still believe that she can slay in the studio.

Her speaking voice is so different now too. It’s so much deeper than what we’re used to and it even has more air to it if that makes sense. So her nodules have gotten worse. To me this performance wasn’t as bad as I thought, nor was it great. But I did love it since it’s Mariah a living legend. She’s the only one from the vocal trinity performing as of right now.

What I like about this "2023 era" (Paris and LNF) is that she can use her chest voice in the middle range, without switching to falsetto, while she can use her falsetto intentionally whenever she wants to (it shows that she's improved since Christmas, when she couldn't access falsetto at all)

Im glad she’s embracing her voice’s new range and not forcing the belts. She’s highlighting her lower register and her head voice, the registers that are easier for her, and just letting the belts be what they are without forcing it too much. I love it!! Mariah doesn’t need to prove anything belting wise. Her musicality exceeds far beyond just belting.

As a lamb I would like to address some of these issues. This is most definitely NOT the worst she’s sounded, am I disappointed she lipped that vision of love line for the first time I think ever in her career if I’m not mistaken, yes . But she has nothing to prove , unfortunately with nodules you have no idea your voice day to day condition. She is 100% capable of still singing but like I said depends on the day and also her confidence which can affect the voice in a tremendous way!!. Love you Mariah, I will always look up to you no matter what shape you’re voice is in .

I'm starting to wonder if she was infected by cov!d, because the major problem here is her breath control/support. If that was the case, then that must be the long covd effect. At this point I only wish her well and recover as soon as possible. Despite all that, her whistle sounds so beautiful. Just like during the Emancipation era. The impromptu before the OSD is so good.

While i don't think this was her worst, and i don't think this was fully reflective of her current abilities, i do wish she'd just take a hiatus, remove the nodules, and work with a vocal coach. Isn't she curious about what could be if she removed them? Or at least, i wish she'd lower the key of every song waaay more. Regardless, there were some great moments here! And the live parts of VOL were soooo good, idk why she lipped any of it?

So sick & tired of hearing people blaming her age for her vocal decline. Yes, it's true that age is partly to do with it and of course no one is ever going to sound exactly like they did after 30 years of non-stop singing but the main issue here is the nodules, she's had them since birth, and because her songs require top effort, her vocal chords have literally gone through the wringer, what we are seeing is pure wear and tear in addition to swollen & inflamed nodules that really need to be looked at and treated otherwise they'll just grow bigger and she'll risk further damage. I think she still has all the techniques and skills there, but the nodules are preventing her from accessing her top registers as fluidly as she use to, so some of that agility has been lost. I know she is fearful of surgery but sometimes you have to weigh it against the pros and cons, do you carry on singing with nodules until you lose your voice completely or do you choose treatment and risk losing your whistle register? A good vocal specialist would be sincerly careful to avoid such possibilities. She would be out for a couple of months or a year maybe recovering, and might have to retrain her voice but it could turn out to be the best decision she's ever made.

I think she should now adapt to the changes in her voice. It’s a darker, heavy, thicker and warmer kind of tone. She should also change the arrangement and the key of her songs based on the status and condition of her voice. Not necessary to showcase those belts and higher registers.
