The guy who is singing with Mariah is Trey Lorenz who has been her backup singer and long time friend since the beginning of her career. He has an incredible voice and briefly had a solo career of his own which unfortunately didn't work out because he didn't have the right promotion and management.

Mariah worked on Trey's debut album with him!! He's been her backing vocalist since the beginning of her career and still works with her. She celebrated his birthday at her house not too long ago. They perform I'll Be There, Endless Love and One Sweet Day together whenever they're on the setlist!!

Trey Lorenz is a testament To how Collaborative, Loyal & Encouraging Mariah is to those around her. He's been there since the Beginning. He wasn't promoted correctly by the label when his solo Album was released. He has an Incredible Range as well. This Song, was and may still be, the only Song in Billboard Charts History to make the quickest Jump to #1 . I believe in a week or two, it shot from outside the top 100 to #1 because of this Live (& Last Minute Addition) performance. She was encouraged by the Label (Sony Columbia) to do a cover in her setlist.

I was gonna say that back up singer is named Trey Lorenz but, I see many ppl already said so. He is so very talented. If you look back at old video performances and new you will see him. And yes, just like the other comments, I was going to point out that her long standing relationship with him is a true testament to how loyal she is to her ppl. I'm so glad you're getting around to hearing all her stuff from the beginning. I was a fan from the beginning of her career. I remember hearing Vision of Love for the first time on the school bus. Lol. I remember falling asleep to the Music Box tape and my sister arguing over who's turn it was to turn the tape over if we hadn't dozed off. 😂 Mariah is the best. I absolutely love her. ❤️
