I heard as story long ago from a person who aqdo1pted a baby from China and Korea it migjt sound crazy but it's easier on the babies if they can smell garlic on your breath it makes them feel more secure I until they adapt I believe it these babies are adorable it's wonderful they are given a chance for a loving life yet sOo sad I feel sOo sorry for them

I realize this happened years ago but she looks so sad in this whole video except the last frame. It is so much harder on these children when they are older. It's too bad the adoption process cannot be expedited, when they are babies, so they don't have to go through that trauma when they are older.

She really struggled for several months after we got home. She is now 8 1/2 years old and completely full of life! She amazes us, really. I wish I could attach a photo here to show who she really is. She was grieving in the video. And as you probably already know, she will always have questions. I just pray she finds her worth in Christ, not men.

@@jeremykaminski422 Just love her with your whole heart(s) unconditionally and pray that is enough. That is all any of us can do with any of our children, adopted or not, and then turn them over to God. I could tell she was in such pain in that video. I have watched over 100 of these videos and know several people who adopted from China & Japan. The behavior problems are horrible the older the child is when adopted. It seems the babies don't have those issues. However, they are all going to have the issue of "why did my mother throw me away"..... their self-worth seems to suffer in the teen years. Those adoptive parents know very well the pain that the child is experiencing. They want very much to take a child who has no family and give her the love and support she needs. The transition is hard for everyone. But those parents chose that child and will love her for a lifetime. In time, they all will be blessed!

Precious family. My heart broke for Mariah as she was being removed from her nanny and it broke for the nanny too. It's such a joyous occasion, but pretty bittersweet for the nannies I think. You can't help but get attached to the little ones and I bet it's hard for them sometimes. Watching this little girl blossom and smile and seeing her with her brothers and sister was so beautiful. I wish all of you nothing but happiness and love.

Thank you! Yes, we also adopted a sweet girl who was ready to age out (six years ago). She is now in college! And Mariah is LOVING life and absolutely thriving in our family. I wish we could post a photo of her now. Mariah is now 9 years old. She is so full of life and loves the Lord! I'll see if my hubby (Jeremy) will make a small video to update someday soon.

I watch a lot of these gotcha days ! Funny that majority are American couples x UK was if International Romanian or Russian ? I too don’t like the way the passing over of the baby occurs x even when you see the child eventually trust you know they will always have their heritage in their heart x it’s been quite upsetting and I have looked at adults that are adopted from Asia ! They are so grateful for being loved but never forget their heritage ! The reason I say this x is because I was adopted in 1960 x and although I miss my adopted mum who died 2 years ago I never forgot there was a woman out there who grieved for a baby she gave up x and my mum grieved for her also every birthday I had as a baby x but this was England ! English born ! To adopt a international baby never for get their heritage ! Because they won’t xx

Most families I've witnessed celebrate their childrens birth country and a lot celebrate Chinese New Year. With over 1.8 million orphans in China alone, it disturbs me there must be no birth control or access to it, idk. This is an atrocity. While I get birth mothers suffer, China itself needs to step up to the plate and do something about this amount of abandoned children. It's not really the fault of the adoptive parents. They are living in the solution not the problem. I hope you find peace

It took her about 2 months or so. But now she is the most fun loving kid I have ever been around. My church has a lot of adoption resources on its website. Www.fellowshipchurch.net. under the ministry tab. There is nothing in then world like adoption. It’s difficult but so worth it

That child was hysterical before she even went to them I have seen this before a little boy hysterically screaming before he was even in the room. I think the nannies tell the kids something bad so they cry and it makes them look. That little boy screamed like I've never heard a child scream when he entered the room it was fear on his face. This little girl was more than frightened. Imo.

Almost all of these sweet kids have never been outside the walls of their orphanage until their adoption day. Our daughter had been taken from her orphanage and rode on the bullet train 1 1/2 hours to this city. She had gotten motion sick on the way there as well. She was a bit overwhelmed to say the least. This video is 8 1/2 years old. My goodness how happy she and hands down the happiest girl I know!

She didn't settle until we got back to the hotel and she was in the tub with some toys...I don't think she'd been in a tub before and she enjoyed it so much we finally saw some smiles
