Just listened to the whole album but this song leaves such an impact on me. It starts as a sad soft tune and the lyrics match that "Why does it hurt?" "Why does it haunt me?" "I can't compete with him it's so unfair." The song takes a darker turn after "Now that n****'s dead to me.", she goes from sadness to anger. Her words starts echoing back "It doesn't hurt (it doesn't hurt)", as if she's saying a mantra to herself. "He can't compete with me I'm gonna win!" "I'm only human I want revenge!" One emotion we been taught to suppress is anger cause it can make us become irrational and yet it's an emotion we all experience. Revenge can be dangerous cause we can hurt ourselves and others who aren't directly involved, but when you're angry you don't care. You want to get even by any means necessary. The song ends with her words repeating like an echochamber cause that's what it feels like when you're in your head. Those emotions of sadness and anger going on loop. The fact that this is the last song in the album makes it more chilling cause that's just it. We don't know if she gets revenge or how she moves on afterwards. The albumn starts off in this soft dreamlike state when she falls in love, with hints of the future aftermath (aura), only to go into absolute turmoil (brain, all for me) It leaves you with an empty feeling.
