I went through an emotional roller-coaster recently due to finding out I would need open heart surgery. I sit here now 2 weeks after surgery l, home for a week and a day, healing wonderfully. On the day of my surgery the left side of my heart was only working at 10%. Single digits means death. The surgeon said I would only have lived a few more weeks had I not had the procedure when I did. Now that emotional roller-coaster is slowing down as it pulls back into the station. All I can say is "what a ride it was to this point!" I'm realizing a potential I didn't know I had. For 45 years I walked around with no better than 60% of a normal persons blood flow. Now my heart is getting stronger than ever. I'm gonna be ready to ride again real soon. Right now I have an 8 inch slice right down the center of my chest, bone and all. And I'm happy about it. So remember to stay on the ride, you'll make it to the station soon enough.

I'll never forget when I driving home at night during a tough time in my life. I became stuck in a vortex of deeply negative and suicidal thoughts. I wanted to crash my car and end it. Meanwhile, I was tuning out the radio this entire time, until suddenly this song came on. I hung on to every word. I also put a little more effort to get home safely. When I arrived home, I broke down and listened to the rest of it before going in the house. This moment was a miracle, and it brought me closer to God. I felt like something, someone sent this song in my darkest moment as an answer. And I'm so thankful this exists.

I had a very dear friend of mine sing this song to my brother at his wedding. It was the perfect song as my brother had come back from being lost to drugs and alcohol. He made peace with his sisters and was truly getting his life in order. However, this was to be short lived. He relapsed and that time he fell into the grips of meth and alcohol. That time he didn’t come back. Eventually, he had a severe stoke at 67 and passed at age 70. It broke my heart in a million pieces. Dave was a believer in Christ Jesus, so I am certain that I will see him again, and I can hardly wait for that moment. He will always be my hero. RIP David. You are truly free now❤️✝️❤️

The first minute of the song is my favourite part and sounds incredible, she sings softly but with plenty of soul and emotion! Her belts are grounded and rich, and head voice sounds like Whitney with that straight tone and ending it with vibrato!! As a victim of child molestation and sexual abuse from the age of 5, I grew up feeling like I was trash. I was lost and hurt with no one to tell my story. Mariah spoke to me through this song in my adolescent years, and I realized that I am not trash but capable of doing great things if I could just find my way to my core.
