(Yes, I know we still have many living legends still with us, but Mariah deals with the same malicious and vicious taunting from the press and public that Michael and Whitney did in their final years. When they both died, the world realised just how fortunate we all are to have lived while they did.) We have to protect Mariah and look after her, not kick her when she's down.

I agree with you Mariah was a huge impact of the 90s and in my childhood. I agree there were other amazing singers. But I believe Mariah had so many really good songs that really stand out. Mariah is 1 of the best Female Legends. In my opinion. I feel like no one can sing as good as her. I know Whitney and Celine are incredible. But I liked more of Mariahs songs. She had 2 masterpiece albums.

People forget this is actually a Jackson 5 song, Mariah introduced it as such when she sang it in this concert, she made it her own and i think this is the only time an artist has been number one with a live performance, she also sang it at MJ's funeral, so whoever brought you here doesn't even matter, your faves could NEVER, now bow down, bitches ;)
@Ciclopea29 жыл бұрын
+sycra mento I don't watch X Factor, glad they mentioned it, as i said when you see the full concert she makes a proper introduction of the song, i'd say no one can touch this cover either, she got to sing it in Michael Jackson's funeral because he loved it so much, so i bow down to both legends.
@luizholiveira31059 жыл бұрын
+sycra mento They can say it's Jackson 5's but when the contestants sing the song they do like Mariah's version." Yeh yeh yeah" is just one tip of how Mariah's version influenced then. Michael used to sing "Uh! Uh! Uh" lol. The only person I've seen singing like Jackson's version is Leona Lewes. Deal with it, man.
@cjustcathy8 жыл бұрын

Jane Doe the problem is not just the sexual objectification, if people have the need to go on stage even naked, what can I say? but when those artists do not even have a decent pop song that can offer some type of a nice melody, then I have a serious problem. People support idiotic music and pornificated images, the sexual liberation without any limit is making people into an animalistic state of mind and the majority of people are lacking intellectual and spiritual intelligence, as well emotional.

It's a shame you have to die for people to really recognize you as a legend. People always made fun of MJ, but then he died and now every talks about how great he is (But they are nothing if not right. He was the king.) Also many people knew Whitney as the woman with the powerful voice who sang I Will Always Love You but now that she's gone she's regarded as the best singer who's ever lived (Almost true). Mariah is a rare diamond who literally has the perfect voice and has an untouchable style which set the standard for all singers today. Whitney was the best of her kind, but there are many of her kind (Powerhouse singers with big voices). But Mariah had a truly unique voice which no one could even attempt to imitate. Mariah IS a legend. Celine is too, I just wish she was more powerful because her voice was also very influential.
