When Mariah came back with her second studio album Emotions, the critics felt it lacked the feeling and meaning that her debut album had. On top of that, because she limited herself to television and award show appearances, people and critics felt that she couldn’t sing as brilliant live and felt that her voice especially her whistle register was gimmick made to sell albums. Who knows what’ll happen in the future. They said nobody could ever match Whitney, but then Mariah came along. Vocally, I don’t think anyone in the industry at the moment can match Mariah. Jennifer Hudson and Beyoncé are extremely talented and are legends in their own right, but not even they could out-sing Mariah. Still, maybe one day someone will come along and amaze us.

@@vihaze6725 Agreed. Of course no one can ever be like Mariah Carey and she's absolutely amazing. But if Mariah Carey, a human being just like all of us exists, then who knows if someone else who's really talented would be born in the future and amaze all of us too. And honestly, it's kinda sad if people just wanna believe/think that Mariah Carey will always the one and only really talented singer. We need more people with talents like her, or who knows, *maybe* someone will be even better. We shouldn't be hating that person or comparing her with Mariah if she exists in the future, we should be grateful that we are able to continue listening to these people with really great voices that we don't even have.
