🔔Mariam matrem virginem🔔 Llibre Vermell s.XIV

The virelai “Mariam, matrem virginem” is one of the most beautiful sacred medieval pieces we know. It is the only three-voice piece preserved in the 'Llibre Vermell de Montserrat', the most notable of the Hispanic manuscripts corresponding to the Ars Nova (14th century). The text is an original Marian poem written in Latin with exhortations to the Virgin and Jesus Christ.
