Lauren could have released some generic pop shit that would have easily been consumed by the masses and shot straight up iTunes but she didn't. I really respect her artistic integrity, her willingness to experiment with different sounds that feel more honest to the type of artist she wants to be and while this electronic alt-pop isn't ordinarily my cup of tea I really love the end result of the Marian Hill and Lauren's collaboration.

Camila makes cheap generic pop music to get on the radio for a couple months. but Laurens and dinahssongs are songs that can be listened to 30 years ago, or 30 years in the future and still be amazing

Lauren proved that she was much better singer than Camila. Camila`s songs were great hits because they were pop songs. Lauren`s song is now #180 on iTunes. It is a great success.
