She was and is a lovely, warm funny an extremely generous woman. if you dont like her, you dont have to listen to her. If you dont approve of her life choices, thats an outsiders view (I dont think hard drugs and the drug culture are good things at all either, btw, but i do not judge addicts in themselves). Dont be so tight about other peoples existences when they dont directly threaten you-and I say that for your own sake, #CindyBin2001; it stresses ones mind out and relentlessly causes a conflict within or without.With love-

If so many people risk there balanced with drugs or medicines they are reasons why even if it's not easy to understand. I've had drugs experiences but control it and stop young, but I got friends who couldn't and became addicted, I don't juge them and I'm sorry for them.

She was so right when she said Paganism was preferable to her as an Englishwoman over Hinduism, Buddhism etc. Westerners adopting eastern religions, especially when it's not part of their ethnic background is so weird and cringe

Other people have different cultures true, but you are either called to a faith or you're not and if you believe in something that guides you through life and ultimately will lead you to salvation , then it wouldn't matter where the faith came from , who else is practising it or their cultural way of doing it. If you experiment with a faith and find it's not for you, that's fine, but surely there's nothing weird or cringeworthy about adopting a " foreign " ( my word ) faith if you feel that that's where you belong ? We must remember too that, at the time Marianne was speaking here, Eastern religions were trendy amongst the hip people.

@@brildidge9523 If you seriously believe and follow a faith, no matter where it comes from, that's fine and I respect that. I was referring mostly to people who adopt Eastern religions because they think it's fashionable, or wear certain garb (like a bindi for example) to try and make themselves seem more interesting. I just find that sort of thing to be very ignorant and disrespectful.
