So much humility. She can actually admit when she's wrong and actually admit that she is still a human being who is learning. This type of honesty and humility is really needed in politics.

Marianne is interesting... because she's willing to publicly *evolve* . She doesn't stay married to an idea... there's no ego attachment.

DuraDigi I LOVE Marianne, I listen to her book "A return to love" about 3x a year. I respect that she's willing to evolve on issues but she should have done her homework on the issues by now. I *LOVE* her stance on reparations. She's publicly willing to sit with African Americans at the lunch table, while all others kids/candidates are worried about what other people/non-black voters might think.
@leotardbanshee

I would rather a politician be willing to listen to the voice of the populous and be willing to evolve rather than being stuck in the status quo honestly. Some people call that flip flopping but I call that growth. If i were the same person today that i was 10 years ago..... Yuck!
@CeePritch
@CeePritch 5 жыл бұрын
@@DuraDigi I'd argue there's nuance between the two. If she were to sway wherever the wind blows I'd agree that she has no real stance. But I'd also argue in the next breath that she's fighting hard for reparations which isn't a popular policy so she definitely seems to fight for what she believes in.

OMG, she actually has a surprisingly comprehensive awareness about Americas dark past. It's amazing how open-minded she is to new ideas without these new ideas shaking her core. Profoundly new ideas usually shakes a person's entire world view and disturbs one enough to make that person have to pause for a moment in order to re-asses all of their beliefs. Her core seems to be already there. She doesn't seem to be shaken at all.

SHINJI GG ……. Marianne brings into focus that WE need to confront the INSTITUTIONS that are the cause of our dismay, and not so much the 'personalities' . Consider: The Founders attacked the whole concept of the monarchy, not JUST King George III . Lincoln fought against SLAVERY and to preserve the UNION, not JUST Jefferson Davis or Robt. E. Lee . FDR inspired by going after FEAR and economic injustice . This is what heroes do, and Marianne Williamson is a hero . Bernie, too .

I'm so grateful that Marianne Williamson is in these debates to call out the other neo-liberals on that stage! She's an absolute gift for the progressive movement that can help Bernie or Elizabeth or Tulsi. And she's absolutely awesome on the issue of ADOS and reparations.

I'm a 67 year old cynical Progressive guy. I owe Ms. Williamson a huge and sincere apology. I was wrong and I APOLOGIZE. I had originally and ignorantly dismissed her as a crystal vibration angelic self help flake but I'll tell ya... I haven't heard a woman speak with such fire since the Sixties. I'm totally committed to Tulsi Gabbard but my fondest desire would be to see President Gabbard nominate Marianne Williamson as Secretary of Education.

The left is founded on hate and dissent. If you are tired of feeling that way, i suggest you start looking into what other parties stand for. I don't mean this to be rude at all, but I have a feeling that you probably are on the left because it was instilled on you from family or school

I don't know much about her but honestly I kind of like her personality at least. She seems honest. I don't think she's corrupt, I just don't know if she'd be as great on policy compared to Warren or Bernie but she also seems better than the other C-list candidates and even B-list. She's likely to be my favorite NON-Bernie and Warren candidate at this point because I think she's more genuine than most of these people and she also seems to have a certain kind of spirit about her. She seems to have a personality trait that I really do appreciate, and that's the fact she seems charismatic but she also really is open to criticism and debate. She just demonstrated here that she is willing to hear other people out, and I think that's one of the most important qualities anyone could have. You'll see people like Joe Biden and even Obama go on about how they can get bipartisan work done and how they can "hear the other side out", but for those two that basically amounts to knuckling under Republicans who have shown - ON THE VOTING RECORD - time and time again that they will never help us get anything done without one-sided compromises and lots of them. This woman though? She's using a bit of the same talking point but she's actually demonstrated she really is listening to other ideas. And I like that. I especially like that because from what I've seen of her so far at least, she still has an identity of her own and she isn't going to just continuously knuckle-under. She's doing great at calling out classical conservative democrats and bad policy, she's basically backup for the progressives on stage. I really really like that. If she doesn't become president I would want her appointed to something important. What is she exactly? A teacher? A lawyer? Maybe she could be great for the department of education or something about law.

Marianne is being 100% herself and honestly showing her humility and at the same time being open to vulnerability in front of America and she's not fearful of it because it doesn't define her. That's Genuinely awesome to say she is learning from the other candidates that mean this will only enhance her as a human being on giving her more of an edge in her candidacy.

Why is it so hard for America to organise their healthcare? In Australia we have Medicare for all and you can also have private health insurance, it’s been like that for decades and it’s the best system in the world. In fact Australia’s life expectancy started to climb really high once we changed to Medicare for all, I think we now at the number 2 spot in the world for long life expectancy and it’s related to free healthcare.

What is the longest you, and/or a family member has waited to be seen? If there is ever an emergency, do you pay crazy prices for emergency drives?
@allydawes307
@allydawes307 5 жыл бұрын
Boy In A Cart you can pay ambulance cover for around $40 per year which covers any ambulance ride, otherwise it might be $1000 or so per ambulance ride without that cover. But the price of ambulance cover is intentionally so cheap that most people have it. In terms of wait time, it really depends where you are in Australia (ie really populated area, rural town, quiet suburb etc). Wait time depends on urgency of treatment, but it’s worth noting that because regular doctors visits and most medical specialist are covered, that there is a lower likelihood here for people to wait until their health is in a state of emergency compared to a country where people may be reluctant to go get a regular health check up and visit their doctor, thus waiting until it’s too late
