I agree that keeping an open mind and heart and listening to what the other(s) have to say can help us better understand their choices. We may still not agree with one another, but we can respect their position and most importantly them. Differences of opinion is never an excuse to disrespect another.

Several of my neighbors voted for Trump and one, for example, is the kindest person, always friendly, would help anyone, so when I think about Trump supporters I think about my neighbor (not the angry, haters). And this gives me hope. Many of the people who voted for Trump are kind, caring people- our neighbors, community members- I don’t understand why they voted for him, but we can still be kind and respectful to each other.

I have resigned myself to the chaos of the next four years, but I am working on purifying my heart so I can be around my very liberal friends and family who go into victim mentality and hatred for the other side. I don’t know many people who voted for the other guy, but if I did, my pure heart would surely be useful with them too. I am excited about some of the MAHA platform, including improving our country’s nutrition and addressing the overreach of pills/pharma’s role in our lives. Please keep informing us.

Although the Republicans control both the House/Senate, I would think that the administration would still need to get 60 votes in the Senate to pass/repeal legislation (and their lead is slim with 53 senators).
