I have been meaning to get this done for ages. Full of mispronunciations and I think I may have used the word "so" about 1,000 times. Still, the world needs more Fortuny, and this is my little contribution.

14:35 The Delphos Dress is epic cool (in its look and feel and as a patent geek, I'm fascinated by the technique as well)! Thanks for sharing your insights. 16:23 Love this description and historical background. P.S. I'm looking forward to seeing works by Mariano Fortuny up close at the Palais Galliera (before the exhibit ends in early Jan 2018)!

What a fantastic introduction to this artist and designer (was not aware of him!) I love the fact that you touch on the design process - the problems he was solving, how he went about it - with the social history (the changing roles of women) and the artistic roots of his work. Maybe publish this one as a monograph?

The Fortuny Museum (Venice) finally translated the great book about him that they used to sell only in Italian. But yes indeed more about him would be GREAT!!!

Well done (except for the jarring insertion of the unwelcome and irrelevant Harry Potter reference)
