Thanks for posting. This is a valuable resource for piano students. Just a note for viewers and students: the 8va (octave displacement) lines in "Just Strutting Along" when placed underneath the notes tell you to play down one octave from written, as opposed to up the octave as played in the video. I must admit, I only learned this about 8va lines the other day! I hope this helps.

Thanks Jared for your aclaration! That was my mistake and I noticed later and I forgot to say it... Thanks again, in a couple of hours I will upload the Vol 2 =)

No dice 8ba(ottava baja).

There is no point in writing octave below 8va in the right hand staff, since this can be written in the bass clef. I imagine she chose to do this since the beginner isn’t accostumed to reading the right hand in the bass clef, however, I still think it is important for beginners to learn to read both staves with both hands, since it is quite popular in repertoire selections.

ahh, Mier, Had to go through some of the pain of her awfully easy pieces. Needless to say, I guess I can only thank her, as now I have gone 11 years later in, and I am currently playing Szmanowski sonata 3 and Beethoven Waldstein atm.

This was fun to follow along with. However I noticed that playing did not observe staccato notes (right hand) on Ragtime Do-Si-Do... same with staccato in left hand in Surfboard Boogie. Also I wondered what kind of piano was music played on? It is nice to hear how others play it.. I am studying this book now and learning.

Hi! Yes, you’re totally right that I didn’t play staccato notes, thanks for the observation! I used a Casio Privia PX 320

@marianovazquezartes6 жыл бұрын
Hola Fer! Espero haberte aclarado. Saludos!
@cangurojack066 жыл бұрын
@marianovazquezartes6 жыл бұрын
Jajaja claro!
