I like the river raise in the first hand. Based on the amount of time it took him to call, and his actual hand, I think the bluff would have worked frequently enough to be a good play. In the immortal words of Mike Caro, "Figure out what your opponents want, and then disappoint them."

@@jolaz69 unless you play solid ABC poker and then you just mop the floor with him when he decides to bluff with nothing! That works 2...Regardless of how good of a poker player you are it sure helps to get cards and when you're getting cards and you have spewtards that are willing to isolate a guy shipping his whole stack from early position and you raise him with like 4 people behind you still in the hand with AQ!! Oh and then you say OMG he had Kings and I hit the miracle River... That's gonna happen..Uhm yeah when you're a Donkey playing AQ like it's AK or better...Worst play I've seen in a while! AQ sucks unless you flop a Queen or the straight or obv it's suited and you flop your flush draw and maybe even a straight draw to go with it..Obv from in position or vs a maniac this might be diff but acting like AQ is a lock that you wanna isolate..If any of those guys have an Ace he's not hitting his miracle River and he also screws the guy out of what could be more money if that was the case...it's a shame the guy didn't have more money and he would have easily been able to push him off the hand before the river... Which leads me 2 playing AQ in this manor where you are risking so much with all these players behind you and even if the guy has KQ or AJ or any 2 cards he gets to see all 5 cards... Nothing about the play makes sense unless you see the flop and its an Ace or Queen and then you ship it to isolate... The people behind him are folding anyway most likely and if not you lost money by not letting someone else in the hand etc etc... This play only makes sense when you don't have 4 people behind you and you have at least QQ KK or AK
@mad1337nes3 жыл бұрын
@@brendaklinger3339 you write like a tweaker, but I guess ill indulge just this once. The EP limp shover is doing so for 12bb, not "THE WHOLE STACK OMG"....with over his stack's worth of dead money already in the middle. The correct move for the short stack is to shove anything suited or connected with the exact idea that one of the remaining 3 players can even have a big hand, and there's just so much free money in the middle it's still profitable to take a 40/60 or even 30/70. As is: even if hero is showed kings face up, it's a losing play to fold (26% pot odds vs 28% hand odds). As played: flat calling and letting the other two in is still marginally ok. Especially considering how face up their hands are, and how easy it is to put in a medium cbet and get folds from set mining and unconnected flops. But understandable to get greedy when you see that much free money that can tried for with little risk.

What I enjoy the most about your videos is the hands don't seem to be revisionist history. An example is the JJ vs AK limp shove all in. Your commentary was "I'm not really sure what he could have but turns out we were up against AK. It is refreshing to hear. All to often lately many hand histories are being told with the presumptive outcome known vs the actual thought in the moment before cards were revealed. I guess those secure in their own play feel no need to dilute the process simply for coming across potentially better then they might be.

You are a more aggressive player vlogging (which is pretty cool). I've only seen a few of your videos, but when you bluff, you tend to size slightly higher than you think they'll give it up (but they do get a decent price to call)... but if jam or over bet to put the other person in a tough(er) spot, and less likely to get that call. GG.

1st hand. I like the call on the river by your opponent. All the draws missed, 65, T9 QJ QT, spades. You can have any of those and barrel away then raise river. Also his K blocks some 2 pair combos you'd have and another thing, maybe you'd bet the turn bigger with 2pair. I'd have liked to see you bet 2/3 or 3/4 pot on the turn instead of 1/2. It would rep 2pair+ more credibly. His block-lead I'm not a huge fan of as I think the only good thing it accomplishes is induce raises by bluffs. Otherwise he just folds out worse and gets called by better because it's unlikely you arrive on the river with a worse pair.
