I love yelana! It’s just so sad that her sister died. She loved Natasha so much and you could see that when she was hitting Clint. I watched this because it was Christmas time and started crying when she was sobbing. This is probably my favorite series besides Loki. It needs a series two.

Yelena easily became my favorite character in the MCU after she was in Black Widow, she is the chaotic, charming and Sarcastic character you cant help but fall in love with. She steals the show anytime she is on screen and i cant wait to see more of her. I also love her and Kates dynamic, they are hilarious together. I wish we got to see more of her and Nat together 😢 they deserved more time as sisters 💔

I think if you want to sell a "Serious situation but character is clearly not taking it seriously" scene like the one between Yelena and Kate, the other person needs to look genuinely terrified and unsettled by the lack of reaction in the other. Usually movies do this, but both people seem to chill; in a way it kind of ruins the effect of that one character not taking it seriously. In that scene, Kate looks like she's really about to shit her pants from fear or anxiety of being in the same room as Yelena who, instead of attacking, is offering her macaroni.

I like her accent in the movie, but I hate to be that guy in saying - it's far from Russian. Being married to a Ukrainian for 5 years, I can tell you that they can't pronounce "W's": for example, "what" would sound like "Vhwuat". As a German once told me, Americans speak like there is a potato in their mouth... meaning a lot of our vowels use the back of the throat. Such as "fun", whereas a Russian would say "fon". Their "o's" sound more like "oooh's". Among many other things. Just very noticeable when you speak to a lot of native Russian speakers. If you ever want to have a good laugh, tell any European other than a Brit to pronounce the word "Squirrel" and witness mass confusion.
