Once that 'problem ' was taken care of , the Dalphine and M had 4 children , 2 sons and 2 daughters. Only one son and daughter survived ; the oldest son died before 10 years of age and a daughter died in infancy .

Because up to the 19th/20th century, monarchies and nobility arranged marriages for political gain , wealth, lands, and titles - never 'love' The only couples in monarchy that actually loved each other in that Era were Victoria and Albert , George ( I forget the number ) and Mary Teck, George V and Elizebeth Boyles L., Elizabeth II and Philip of Greece - granted, there were a few others , but the % was so low that it's not worth mentioning. M and L were so imcompatable in personality , intellectually, and culturally that I'm surprised M didn't have an affair sooner in life than what she did . M had also carried massive resentment towards Louis over refusing to give her children 6 years into their marriage that caused her to be mocked , ridiculed, and slandered by the French Court , but also the French people - and Louis not wanting to take care of a physical problem was to blame for it.
