Yeah I'm surprise the world no.5 Zheng almost lost to Eala in that semifinal match. Eala was able to go toe toe with Zheng's power. Eala is a US open junior champ so we know she also has the potential but has a lot to improve esp her serve and stamina. Eala's game has similarities to Fernandez not that tall but her lefty plays can confuse opponents. She had that weird angle that is sometimes unpredictable but like I said she has a weak serve and commits double fault alot. She need to work out more and improve coz she can go toe to toe in the exchange and ahas a decent return. Stamina and Serve is very important in tennis.

It’s interesting how being a top player in juniors doesn’t translate well to WTA. Take for example Eala and Kasintseva. Grand slam junior winners but they can’t make any deep runs in WTa and can’t even win a match against a top 100 player. Eala is talented but there’s something missing in her game. She needs to fix the second serve, add a few more mph to her strokes, and work on her speed around the court

Eala does not have it. No movement, poor strategy, relatively slow etc. That's not gonna work in pro level....

​@@colossus491no. You can improve skills but her natural athletic skills are just not there. She got there by privilege since she got money to enroll in Nadals academy but if Philippines will choose someone to train there, Eala is definitely not the one. Lets be honest.

Though she lost, Alex did well as, Bouzkova is a powerhouse player reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. its just sad they met early, but keep these WTA tournaments going, its the only way to get better.

Alex inability to win is not a result of her physical inadequacies, because in many instances she has faster feet and superior conditioning..Her inability to win is directly related to her inadequate mental or tactical habits..Sound tactics are based on two vitally important concepts..For Alex, to be capable of playing tactically sound tennis, she must understand her limit and capacities are..Good shot selection is based on her understanding of her capabilities on any shot at anytime..She must continue playing competitive tennis and hopefullly her game improve as she pursue her career in tennis..good luck Alex !
