My mind is officially blown... I had NO idea Marie Callender's was a restaurant! Down here, it's just in the frozen food section and it's the best of all the frozen foods. I legitimately lived off Marie Callender's chicken pot pie, chicken, broccoli and rice, and the Mac and cheese pasta with veggies for the majority of my fifteen years in newspaper. If I was ever planning to come to California, before, I'm definitely coming so I can eat Marie's fresh!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear Marie Calenders pies are still good. When I was young you would have to reserve your pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I don’t know if that’s still a thing, lol.

Back 50 years ago, Marie Calender's served the best food. Corned beef and cabbage, Pot Roast, Roasted vegetables with cheese on top. Every dinner came with pie for $4.95.

My husband and I had to try this out at Marie Callenders today it was awesome! I got the pot pie and he got the chili. My pot pie was not in a foil like Bill's though! The corn bread was delicious soo warm and flavorable. We definitely are going back again

Loved this video. We like things from both places (mainly Black Bear since they have soooo much on their menu, and their breakfasts are amazing). That being said, NOTHING beats Marie Calendar’s for cornbread, pot pie, and any of their pies. Jeff loves the chocolate cream pie, and my favorite is the French apple. It’s nice seeing you guys more often. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I love Marie Calendars Chicken Pot Pie! We always have the frozen ones from Costco in our freezer as back up for when we want something easy. Cant go wrong with that restaurant, always so good!

As someone who has made numerous chicken pot pies in a commercial kitchen...Cracker Barrel...the Marie Callender's was a dry pie. How you get a dry pot pie is when it's too close to it's hold time. The gravy soaks into the pastry the longer the time the product is held.

Sometimes we get an urge to ear diner food. Because we came from PA where there are so many diner choices, we tried to relive the experience. Sadly, both Marie Callendar’s and Black Bear Diner fall short. We suggest that you try East Coast Diners in the future. We tried Black Bear Diner in Vegas on South Las Vegas Blvd by the Outlets. Food was bad, service the same, flies attempted to carry away our plates, the table smelled sour. Marie Callender’s Pot Pie is just okay. Too much crust turns me off. I like more chicken filling than crust. I feel the hero of that meal should be what is inside the crust. I grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch Area where Chicken Pot Pie was not a pie in most cases. It was more of a chicken stew with thick noodles or strips of thin crust on top. Overall, we love you Vlog. Thanks fir all you do.

Black Bear Diner looks really good! Especially that patty melt! Worth a try. You might like the kalua pork melt at Stacks in Irvine if you’re ever in that area.

We used to have Marie Callendar's but left a while ago. My co-workers and I would go for their pot pie and apple pie. I don't remember the crust being that thick. We don't have black bear. The food looked good.

Chicken pot pie always reminds me of being a little kid and a frozen one was a treat like once or twice a year! Now that I’m grown up, I’m not quite sure why I never get it!
