Anyway, here are some timestamps to some parts of the video that just blow my mind. I. 13:53-14:40. When you see how Ethan is screaming the lyrics with such desperation, the feeling is just palpable. II. 17:40-20:10. This part is honestly one of my favorite things in all of music, and them playing it live like this has a whole different emotion to it. I've literally watched it over and over countless times, just feeling the emotion of it. III. 33:36-35:20. You notice all the band members coming to the realization that everything is ending and you can honestly see the heartbreak in their faces. This is especially at 34:43 when you see Ethan put his head on Ben's shoulder and Ben just lays back into him. It's so heartbreaking as they play the bit over and over again so the moment never ends...until it does.

Bro, Cinco de Mayo Shit Show really is the best. I accidentally clicked a recommended mixtape in yt and that's the first song and I instantly search Marietta. Ever since (October 2020), I was listening to Midwest Emo because of Marietta. Saddened that they already disbanded. I was very late in the Midwest Emo scene.

Could it be the mixtape 'Songs for a girl who forgot I exist' ? Because I discovered them there early this February. Something just drew me back to this song and I listenened to it over and over. This music has been extremely important to me the past few years, I'm 26 now and feel very lost in my life and wondering why my early 20s was so brutal for me, I feel I've matured and so has my music taste! I realy love the energy of shows like this, feels more like a party with friends who just so happen to be musician, everyone seems to know the band personally and the fact that the stage is at the same level as the audience really adds to this intimate feel. Maybe this kind of shows are really common and I just found out about them, but they seem to be really nice. I really wished I discovered these guys earlier, they pretty much introduced me to the genre and Cinco De Mayo Shitshow became so personal to me, a song of comfort and an outlet, I wished I could have gone to one of this shows, guess most I can do know is just wacth them, which isn't that bad honestly

Man, in small towns these basement shows are ALL you play (unless you're great and move up, and my bands weren't/didn't) and yes, it's super fun for awhile but it takes its toll and runs its course.
