RE: York gig- I'm not sure why Marika picked that out as the best gig. From the perspective of the audience- drums and synths were louder than vocals and guitar. I think that venue is resting on its laurels. Supporting act was Luke Saxton ( Who was absolutely incredible and he's the one to watch in 2015). What the venue need is better sound guy. With vocal as delicate as Marika and complex arrangements I wish the venue gave more attention to detail and live mixing of the levels.
