She is incredible! so sad, that singers aren't talented today.
@peternemeth17775 жыл бұрын
Incredible with what an ease she grabs the dancer, turns him around a few times and runs! with him with high heels on up the stairs as if it's nothing at the end of the videos. Then smiles at the audience with no sign of having worked, zero gasping for air. Incredible. How strong she had to be to do that.

You are watching a film. She is carrying a puppet that has been substituted . The substitution is not shown .Wie kann man so doof sein ?
@hermanrobak12854 жыл бұрын
@@seeadler3233 At the very end, the tall and skinny dancer is obviously switched out with a dummy. However, at 4:50 she does lift him. Or more like she carries him for a moment, and then they combine effort to lift him; she lifts mostly by extending her legs. I assume the guy was *really* thin.

That is one of the most bizarre dance numbers ever. She's great and of course the best part is at the end when she dances with the elderly librarian, who was so good he puts me in mind of Buddy Ebsen. Marika's an amazement.

People want to be entertained during wartime. American GIs were shown movies on the ships en-route to Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima etc. etc. Even after the bloody battles on the ground. It's human nature. In Kaunas Lithuania where I was at the time, we had movies under the Soviet occupation and later under the Nazis even.

You know, that totally beats almost freezing solid, starving and getting shot at night and day on the eastern front. Let's see, dance on stage, pick up a beautiful, happy woman, spin her around, set her down and then dance some more. That totally works for me!

@MarcoBocoure half naked? I am thinking not so strict. There was a revue film. These films were also available in the U.S. or France. And because many people died in this evil war. The content of this film was not racist - that's the most important - I mean.

@MarcoBocoure That's true what you say. But in a dictatorship can not give each artist his work. That would be even worse for the people - right? In art you can bring veiled criticism expressed. If all true artists left the country and the criminals remain alone there is a dictatorship not end - I think
@bobinobaker13 жыл бұрын
@MarcoBocoure That's right. And that was admirable. But have worked against the terrible occupation. I thought the actors in their own country of dictatorship. They could not finish all their work and leave the country. If all the artists leave dictatorships in their countries and let the people with the criminals themselves - this is good for the dictators. Art can try something against the dictatorship slowly to oppose something. Not much in the beginning - but more and more then...

Why get upset over someone's comments just becaue they are different than yours? You're never going to wipe out ignorance, so why bother as long as that ignorance doesn't do any bodily harm to anyone. People are going to say nasty things about anyone.

Mariska még csak nem is Magyarországon született. Kairó szülötte, 1913-ban, viszont való igaz, hogy magyar családba. 1924-től nem Mo-on éltek.

@donwert This is sheer crap......Hitler ordered two copies of Charlie Chaplain's THE LITTLE DICTATOR and laughed himself blue-in-the-face over it. People like you claim that Hitler banned swing and jazz in Germany back then too and that is absolutely false---there were many German swing bands during the '30s and wartime '40s.
