Resistance mate. The defence pieces must have full resistance rolls. King shield actually reduces damage. The shield itself, works off resistance. So defense helps, but resistance vs pierce rate. If the pierce of an enemy is less than or equal to the shield, Patience Else, the shield takes damage.

i tried this team yesterday and in floor 2 my shield is not strong enough i do only idk like 80-90 k with king without weapons im a f2p had my ban 80 and 4/6 i thought come lets try it lvl him up floor 1 was easy but floor 2 would be easy aswell i think if my shield wasnt so low but if he only aoe once and single atks freyr two times its for the first round okay but then in the second ban gets dmg its kinda sad floor 2 was hard to begin with i tried it first time when i got thonar but she didnt help at all i got so much dmg no heal nothing and my dmg on dogs was so low i couldnt get through i hardly finished floor 1 after like 10 bottles + i wish this thonar would be more like yormun who buffes you to the end like ur op af if i would have known thonar is no help at all i would have skipped her and had now more gems to get my last copy for reinhard then i would have all re zero chars xD

This comment is pretty late, but what you can do is to use king card twice to strengthen the shield. Since under shield effect, you do more damage.

@@haast09 yep. I started dogs last week. So I'm learning and figuring out things now. I must say, dogs hit hard, so much stronger than deer(without passives).. it's nuts and Thonar struggles so much without the relic

@@slimstrait780 dogs is nothing compared to snake tho thats my new enemy now xD i can beat first 2 floors easy and i never rly tried floor 3 im still waiting for the unit made for it but it feels like they will never bring one but i need to say post snake changes its way easier and faster to do first 2 floors now a normal lvl 1 card does 20% on his bar on third phase and u wont get infect anymore on floor 2 phase 2 its chill now i wish red megelda would be in tyr banner i dont need anything in there besides freyr i got him 2 time now he is useable with 4/6 sadly no red brun nor megelda in it most of the ragnarok units you just need to have 1 copy of
