At the time, "super clean" audio was compared to footage with live audio from that tour cycle.. not soundboard, not "last tour on earth", not comparing to performances from a younger man with shit to prove to an older performer that refuses to give up drinking. I thought that would still be obvious, regardless of time passed. But whatever. If we're rating onstage theatrics, yeah, this *is fucking garbage compared to Dead to the World through Holywood. The Grotesk Burlesk era was better than the entire "eat me,drink me" album life, which is funny because between the two, the Against All Gods Tour era surpassed both and i equal it to the Smells Like Children era in general. Who knows, though? A lot of audio from that era sounds like bullshit recovered from a fire recorded thru a shit-ass boombox outside the venue... Get the fuck out of here. The few standout recordings certainly begin to show the increasing intensity and quality that would later show up on a regular basis in the tryptich tour cycles.

i think all the good guitar players don't want to work with manson because of his antics and the fact that he clearly only puts effort into 50% of his shows. back when they were just starting he was lucky to find daisy.
