My dad told me a story of how. when he was younger living in an apartment, he had these really loud speakers which we still have. One night, these people down the hall were having a party and blasting their rap louder than anybody needed to hear. He asked them to stop but they refused, so he called up his best friend to this day across the street. He asked him to borrow his Marilyn Manson CD and his friend happily obliged. So my dad runs over and gets the CD, then return to the apartment and places the speakers in the windows and in the hallway. He changed into clothes that were all white and placed candles in the windows with the lights off. He then popped the disc in, turned on THIS song and turned it up max volume. The partiers left quickly, yes, but when they saw who was playing the music, they left quicker. Gotta love when your parents have a demented mind. :D \m/

Next year they should have fully functioning AC in Hell and it should be a lovely place to visit for a day or two, there will be theme rides like at the local carnivals and such. It's funny because this song seems to actually have more of a positive message than anything else, I don't get where all of the bullshit comes from. Granted, I haven't listened to much of his other work, but still, if any of it is like this in terms of clever lyrics, then it's the typical case of people simply not listening and jumping to conclusions. Alkaline Trio's lyrics work the same way, they sound all cheery and have a great rhythm that just makes you go like 'hey yeah I can get behind this' and then you realize it's about drowning or heavy drinking problems or suicide and the entire message and feel of the song changes. Love this kind of shit.
